Primo Baby

Primo Baby is a Canadian film about a troublesome teen-age girl who is sent to live with a family who raises horses after her father is sent to jail. The mother of this foster family has recently died and the son handicapped in a car accident. The father has not come to grips with his wife's death, nor his son's part in the accident. The girl loves horses, and she saves a blind horse named Primo Baby from being put down by agreeing to stay with the family if she can train the horse to race.

Duncan Regehr plays Charles Armstrong, the foster father, and owner of the horse farm. The story centers around the young girl's difficulties training the horse and fitting into local society, but the underlying theme of the movie is letting go of the past and moving on with life.

(This movie is only available on VHS tape at this time, although there are two versions of the box cover.)
