Goliath Awaits
Goliath Awaits is a 1981 two-part television movie about a passenger liner named Goliath which was attacked during World War II by the Germans. The ship sank, but a part of it remained airtight. Some of the passengers survived, thanks in large part to the chief engineer. The survivors build their own highly structured world ruled by a committee which determines everything from what job each person does (and everyone works) to who lives and who dies. This small enclosed world is turned upside-down when a present day diving team runs across the Goliath, discovers the survivors and offers to rescue them. The committee is faced with the loss of all their power, and fight against anyone leaving. (This movie is only available on VHS.)
Duncan Regehr plays Paul
Ryker, the leader of a renegade band called 'the Bow People' who want to live in
freedom. He helps the rescuers to get the people who want to leave off the ship.
