News

April 29, 2008 - I finally got around to doing a few updates for the site. The good news is Duncan has finished filming both The Strange Case of DJ Cosmic and The Room at the End of the Hall. The bad news is that's about all I know about them at this time. I'll keep everyone posted.

There's also a nice review here about Duncan introducing "The Mark of Zorro" for the Victoria Symphony just this past Friday. It appeared in the Times Colonist for Canada.com

The next two art exhibits for Duncan are the following.

June 2008  - Bella Perla Gallery, Portland, OR. USA

September/October 2008 -Signatures Gallery, Brookings, Or, USA

February 28, 2008 - There are rumors that Duncan will be involved in a new radio version of "Zorro". I'm sorry to say, they're just rumors. Some fans even did a write-in campaign to make it happen, but alas, they didn't think they could afford Duncan, so they never asked him. There's an interesting blog about the radio show here.

February 12, 2008 - A new art show for Duncan. Sorry for the short notice.

December 2007 - One of Duncan's paintings, "The Ruse," was used for the cover of the Winter/Spring 2007 issue of "Poemata," a publication of the Canadian Poetry Association. The cover can be seen here.

October 22, 2007 - There's even more news on the art front for Duncan. Here's the announcement for the upcoming Winchester Galleries Showing...

WINCHESTER GALLERIES
is pleased to announce a new exhibit by

DUNCAN REGEHR, RCA

"MAGIC"

Opening Reception:
Sunday, November 4, 2007  1 p.m. ~ 5 p.m.

Preview:  Saturday, November 3, 2007  10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
(art subject to prior sale)

In Duncan Regehr's current series of drawings and paintings, titled,
'Magic', he continues to explore aspects of transformation ~ a theme
he began working on in 2000 with the 'Corvus Rex' images, and
continued to develop through 2005 with the 'Chrysalid' works.  Each of
these projects revolves around themes of gestation, birth and
metamorphosis.  However, the 'Magic' series alludes not only to

transformation, but to illusion and the unknown as well. Over thirty
new drawings and paintings in the exhibition at Winchester Galleries
reveal subject matter drawn from myth, imagination, the psyche and
acts of prestidigitation.

And here is an article by Robert Amos is from 2003.

October 13, 2007 - Finally there is more news! Duncan has just finished filming an independent movie short called "The Strange Case of DJ Cosmic"! The film has finished filming and will be going to The Sundance Film Festival and the Toronto Independent Film Festival. During filming in Victoria, he got to drive an old Bugatti car and "had a blast" doing that.

Also--check out Duncan's profile at Saatchi Gallery UK:

The more people who 'visit' - the more accolades he gets. It's the same with the imdb site (gives him more hits for the 'star meter' -- and
hopefully some producers will notice). Go here to make that meter rise!

They also list his upcoming showings at other galleries as well.

October 12, 2007- Check out Duncan's profile page at Saatchi's Gallery here.

The more people who visit the more accolades he gets. This is also the case with the imdb site. Visiting his profile on imdb can give him more hits on his star meter and producers may notice.

July 2007 - The DVD release of The Monster Squad is scheduled for July 24th. Apparently Duncan did a couple of additional interviews for Lion's Gate Pictures for the event. They've also included the interview taped at the Monster Mania Convention last February  in the "Special Features" part of the disk.  Amazon prices for this are pretty low too, considering how much anticipation there has been for this release.

The first interview is included in the current issue of "Rue Morgue Magazine." If your local venders do not carry this magazine, you can purchase it from  http://www.rue-morgue.com.

The second interview will appear Monday as part of a feature at another website, http://dvd.ign.com/articles/807/807428p1.html.

There is also a new display of Duncan's artwork as follows in Brookings, Oregon.

~ Mr. Regehr may be in attendance ~

Of course, as usual, there's the usual disclaimers in case he has other conflicts in his schedule, but it looks to be a wide range of his art at this one. Pieces from the "Crysalid", "Corvus Rex", "Poetic Imagery" series will join a few from his early "Henge" work.

There's additional information about local hotels and such for anyone planning to go.

May 2007 - A release date  of July 24th has finally been set for the DVD version of The Monster Squad. The expected cover art is displayed here.

February 2007 - Click here for more about the symphony piece itself. For a nice recent picture of Duncan meeting a fan, go to her website here.

October 2006 - Duncan is set to make a personal appearance at the Monster-Mania Con 7 in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. The dates for the convention are February 16th through the18th. Duncan will be there to celebrate the twentieth reunion for The Monster Squad. This will be his first ever appearance at a convention. He has scheduled one once before and was unable to make it there; and there is always that clause in any actor's contract for this type of thing that says if something else comes up career-wise, he can be a no-show. But hopefully he will be there this time. Click here for more information.

April 2006 - Presumed Dead premiered on the Lifetime channel on April 2nd. It has already been rerun once but isn't schedule to be re-shown again during April.

January 2006 - Duncan has apparently completed a new made-for-television film called Presumed Dead for Insight Films.  Pax television, which has now become "I" television,  has been re-showing the old episodes of Body & Soul at 9:00 PM (Central Standard Time) on Sunday nights. So far, it looks as if they are going to rerun every episode that was originally shown, but not the one episode that never made it to air.

Duncan has made available to the public artist's proofs of his drawings, The Fox Graphics. These are of Zorro and are Duncan's salute to his fans of that series. Details can be found at his official website, duncanregehr.com. There are a total of 18 drawings in all and they can be bought in sets of three or individually.
