French Zorro DVD's
These DVD's were released in France, apparently legitimately. Most of the packages, but not all, sport a UPC code. One had the UPC code attached to the shrink wrap. The quality is excellent and they are all Region 2 (Europe).
The voice track heard on all of them is in French, dubbed by French actors. The theme song found on the first two volumes is completely different from either theme used in the English versions and is sung by a male voice in French. For the third volume, the credits are run in English, yet there is still only a French sound track. Even different scenes are used in the opening credits for these first few disks. Curiously, the second episode on the fourth volume, Honor Thy Father, has the English version of the theme sung by the female voice, English credits, and usual opening scenes . Then for each subsequent episode on all the DVD's after that, the theme changes back to the French one with the English version of the visual credits written over with French text.
There are at least eight volumes with the first five being sold both singly and in a set. The first three volumes have only two episodes each, but the later ones have six episodes on them. These are the ones I have so far. Some of the screen captures in the gallery were taken from these DVD's.
